STANDARD HEALING

AFTERCARE

Aftercare is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions to ensure proper healing and color retention.

First Day

You will notice a clear fluid secreting from the newly tattooed area, this is referred to as lymph fluid and is a normal, natural part of the healing process. However, to prevent fluid build-up and eventual scab formation, we recommend washing the tattooed area every 2 to 3-hours with warm water and a disposable cotton round or a-tip. Pat dry, let rest, and let breathe

Day 1-14

Using the all-natural Gold Dust cleanser provided, gently wash your face, morning and night. Refrain from getting your newly tattooed brows wet for two-weeks, no exception.

Do not use water, cleansers, creams, makeup, or any other products on the treated area.

Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off.

Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, fresh/saltwater swimming, sauna and beach activities.

Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds for 3-4 weeks after the procedure.

Avoid sweaty exercise.

Avoid long, hot showers. Avoid sleeping on your face.

Avoid makeup, sunscreen, topical products around the treated area.

DAY 3-5

Babe Balm: Apply a thin layer of our Gold Dust Babe Balm directly on your newly tattooed brow only as needed. Keep in mind, while the application of the Babe Balm is soothing, it can be a double edge sword, as too much product can and will create an excessive loss of pigment, which will affect your final results. Be mindful, use the Babe Balm sparingly.

Gold Dust Cleansing Towelettes: Keep your forehead clean without disrupting the integrity of your newly tattooed brows utilizing our gentle, ultra-soft towelettes.

Using one towelette, gently swipe around your brow permitter, once a day.

Do not wipe your newly tattooed brows. Keeping your newly tattooed brows dry is essential to achieving optimal results. Disrupting the integrity of the tattooed area will impede your heal and affect your overall results.

Day 1-24

24-Days: Use a fresh pillow case while you sleep.

24-Days: No facials, botox, chemical treatment, or microdermabrasion.

STANDARD HEALING

APPROXIMATE HEALING SCHEDULE BY DAY

Remember that healing is a process. Please be patient.Your brows will change and be different day by day as it goes through this process.

Day 1-2

Brows are crisp and 20-40% darker and bolder than your healed results. There may be very minimal redness and no swelling.

Day 3-5

Your brows will begin to itch and the pigment will appear raised. Brows will appear dark due to oxidation and scabbing. The top layers of your skin will begin to shed. Do not pick or scratch. Let them fall off naturally.

Day 6-8

The skin is rapidly exfoliating and will shed if left alone. Do not pick or scratch. The pigment under the exfoliating skin will appear light until the epidermis takes on its more transparent characteristics.

Day 14

Most or all of the scabbing has fallen off naturally. Brows will appear light and will warm up as the skin continues to heal. You can wash your brows now.

Day 30-60

Now is the time to critique your brows, the tattoo has now become part of the dermis, seen under the epidermis. All adjustments will be addressed at your scheduled follow-up visit.

Touch Up

Do not expect your brows to heal perfectly or have perfect results after the first session. This is a 2-step process, sometimes more step process.

  • Using the all-natural Gold Dust cleanser provided, gently wash youhe first touch up (second session) is done within 4–12 weeks after the initial session.

  • Your touch-up will be booked at the time of your initial session. Should you miss this appointment, you will be financially responsible for the fees incurred in rescheduling.

  • Permanent makeup may not appear as bold or sharp on darker skin clients compared to lighter skin clients.

  • Some clients may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional touch ups.

Additional Information

Antacids, thyroid and anxiety medications have been reported as interfering with permanent makeup either by affecting retention or shifting the pigment to an undesirable tone. Remember, everything we eat and drink have their own chemical structure and the electron ends that are unattached or free, may get attached to other compounds inside the body forming a new molecule that may show a different color spectrum. With that info, an educated client may have better expectations and know that she/he may need more frequent adjustment than others.

As the area around the eye is sensitive, swelling or reddening may occur; you may want to postpone social plans for a few days. Please avoid these procedures at least a month prior to important life events such as weddings; procedures may take longer than expected to be complete under some circumstances.

The better condition your skin is in, the better the final result will be. Mature clients may need an additional one to two weeks healing for the final results to appear. The better you take care of your skin and protect it from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the permanent cosmetic procedure.

Eyeliner

AFTERCARE

The permanent eyeliner healing process is known to be the easiest of all permanent makeup healing.

Maintaining a clean eyelid and surrounding is essential for a safe healing and optimal results.

THE FOLLOWING STEPS WILL AID IN YOUR HEALING PROCESS:

Immediately following your treatment, you will notice minimal weeping, this is expected. To keep the area clean, use a damp cotton swab and gently blot the eyelid removing any excess lymph fluid.

The goal is to keep the treated areas both clean during your healing process.

The eyeliner pigment will appear approximately 30% darker during the immediate heal. This is due to color oxidation and is a normal part of the healing process.

Likewise, there may be minimal swelling, which can result in the eyeliner appearing slightly larger, this too is expected and a normal reaction. None of which will cause any difficulties with daily duties, including driving.

Following the treatment, you may wakeup slightly puffy. In order to combat this, you can sleep on an incline or applying a cool compress for the first 24-hours.

The eyeliner will feel tight and dry, but not painful. There may be minimal flaking, this too is normal. Do not pick at it or try to remove the skin prematurely, doing so will yield poor results.

Once all flaking has concluded, it is common for the pigment to appear lighter than the finishing results. This is temporary, as the cellular turnover occurs (typically 28-days) the true color will present itself.

The full healing cycle concludes at week-six. Based on individual results, you may wish for a follow up visit. Any adjustments; shape refinement and color boosting can be done at this appointment.
